- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the Pulp and Paper industry to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Utilize technical knowledge of Ecolab's products and services to effectively communicate the value and benefits to potential and existing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Pulp and Paper industry, including prospecting, lead generation, and cold-calling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic sales plans and initiatives that align with company objectives.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase Ecolab's capabilities and solutions to customers.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify potential threats and opportunities and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and close sales deals.
- Provide ongoing customer support and technical assistance, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and changes in customer needs to continuously improve and innovate our products and services.
- Represent Ecolab at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and network with potential customers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while representing Ecolab and maintaining a positive and professional image.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Technical Sales Representative For Pulp And Paper Products Should Have A Solid Understanding Of The Industry And Its Processes. A Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Provides The Necessary Technical Knowledge To Effectively Communicate With Potential Customers.
Previous Sales Experience: A Successful Technical Sales Representative Should Have Previous Experience In Sales, Preferably In The Pulp And Paper Industry. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Market And Build Relationships With Potential Customers.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Technical Sales Representative, It Is Important To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Technical Information To Potential Customers. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients.
Knowledge Of Pulp And Paper Industry Regulations And Standards: The Pulp And Paper Industry Is Heavily Regulated, And A Technical Sales Representative Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Standards. This Knowledge Will Help Them Provide Accurate Information To Clients And Ensure Compliance With Industry Standards.
Ability To Travel: A Technical Sales Representative For Pulp And Paper Products May Be Required To Travel Frequently To Meet With Clients, Attend Trade Shows, And Visit Production Facilities. Therefore, The Ability And Willingness To Travel Is An Important Qualification For This Role.
