As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations.   1. Develop and implement environmental safety policies and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular environmental compliance audits and inspections to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Identify potential environmental hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate and prevent them.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions for waste management, pollution prevention, and energy conservation.
  5. Train and educate employees on environmental regulations and best practices to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  6. Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation.
  8. Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
  9. Investigate and report environmental incidents and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  10. Communicate environmental initiatives and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans for potential environmental incidents.
  12. Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to environmental compliance and initiatives.
  14. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in environmental processes and procedures.
  15. Participate in sustainability and community outreach initiatives to promote DuPont's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In Environmental Compliance And Risk Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Environmental Management Systems.

  • Professional Certifications Such As Certified Environmental Professional (Cep) Or Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Preferred.
