
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
At DuPont, we are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and policies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires an individual with a commitment to safety, the environment, and excellent communication skills.The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety laws and regulations and will act as a resource to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors. This individual will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and implementing the EHS program, including safety and emergency plans, hazard assessments, and environmental permits. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who is able to identify safety risks and develop appropriate strategies to help minimize them.Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field• At least 3 years of experience in a related field• Knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety laws and regulations• Strong communication skills• Demonstrated problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities of the EHS Specialist: • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety laws and regulations. • Develop, maintain, and implement the EHS program, including safety and emergency plans, hazard assessments, and environmental permits. • Identify safety risks and develop appropriate strategies to help minimize them. • Act as a resource to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors. • Monitor and enforce safety standards for all employees and visitors. • Train staff on safety procedures and protocols. • Investigate accidents and incidents related to safety and environmental health. • Prepare reports and documents related to environmental health and safety issues. • Participate in regular safety meetings and safety trainings. • Perform other duties as assigned.
