- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards for Dropbox's cloud and infrastructure systems.
- Monitor and analyze potential security threats to the company's cloud and infrastructure, and take proactive measures to prevent and mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices for cloud and infrastructure security.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine root cause and prevent future occurrences.
- Configure and manage security tools and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Train and educate employees on security best practices and procedures.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the continued operation of Dropbox's services.
- Communicate with external security professionals and vendors to stay informed about potential threats and solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of protection for Dropbox's data and infrastructure.
- Participate in security incident response exercises and contribute to the development of incident response plans.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate and report on security issues and vulnerabilities to upper management and make recommendations for remediation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud and infrastructure security for Dropbox, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Cloud Security Best Practices: A Security Engineer At Dropbox Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Cloud Security Concepts And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Security Controls And Techniques For Securing Cloud Infrastructure, As Well As Experience With Major Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.
Experience With Infrastructure Security Tools: Candidates Should Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Security Tools And Technologies, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Vulnerability Scanners, And Data Loss Prevention Tools. Proficiency In Scripting Languages And Automation Tools Is Also Highly Desirable.
