- Develop and implement governance, risk, and compliance strategies in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess potential risks to the organization and proactively implement measures to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data security and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential compliance issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance protocols and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external auditors.

- Lead incident response and remediation efforts in the event of a compliance breach.

Extensive Knowledge Of Governance, Risk Management, And Compliance Principles And Practices: Candidates For This Role Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of The Principles And Best Practices Related To Governance, Risk Management, And Compliance. This Includes Knowledge Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards.
Experience Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment. This Includes Creating Policies And Procedures, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Managing Compliance Audits.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Successful Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Information, Identify Potential Risks, And Develop Effective Solutions To Mitigate Those Risks. This Requires Strong Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, And Decision-Making Skills.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Member Of The Compliance Team, The Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Employees, And External Partners. This Requires Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships.
Experience With Data Privacy And Security: With The Growing Importance Of Data Privacy And Security, The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, Such As Gdpr And Ccpa, And Experience Developing And Implementing Data Privacy And Security Policies And Procedures. Experience With Data Privacy And Security Audits And Risk Assessments Is Also Desirable.
