
HR Compliance Specialist
Assist with developing and communicating procedures; conduct initial background investigations, including the PEBC, on current and newly hired Drexel faculty and professional staff based on identified criteria. Develop and monitor procedures to collect, process and track progress and results for PEBC and background checks. Conduct background investigations as necessary based on position or job category. Consult with Minors Coordinator, HR Business Partners and Associate Vice President, HR as necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, before making adverse employment decisions. Partner with HR Business Partner on adverse process. Ensure confidentiality and maintain database on all background investigations, and prepare regular reports as necessary or requested.
Minimum three years of relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding of applicable state, federal and local labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality, and a professional demeanor at all times
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
