- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate relationships with foundations and corporations in order to secure funding for the Health Sciences department at Drexel University.
- Identify and research potential funding opportunities from foundations and corporations that align with the department's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to understand the department's research and program needs and effectively communicate them to potential funders.
- Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding and maintain relationships with current funders.
- Serve as the main point of contact for foundation and corporate partners, maintaining regular communication and providing timely updates on the department's progress and impact.
- Work closely with the university's development team to coordinate fundraising efforts and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in fundraising, particularly in the healthcare sector, and use this knowledge to inform strategies and approaches.
- Represent the department at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to expand the department's network and identify potential funding sources.
- Build and maintain a database of foundation and corporate contacts, tracking interactions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments and organizations within the university to identify and pursue collaborative funding opportunities.
- Assist in developing and managing the department's budget and financial reporting related to foundation and corporate funding.
- Continuously evaluate and improve fundraising strategies to ensure maximum impact and success.
- Foster a culture of philanthropy within the department, encouraging and supporting faculty and staff in pursuing their own fundraising opportunities.
- Adhere to ethical fundraising practices and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Fundraising Or Development, Preferably In The Health Sciences Sector.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Business, Communications, Or Healthcare Administration.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Securing And Managing Grants And Partnerships With Foundations And Corporate Entities.
Strong Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And Current Trends In Philanthropy And Corporate Giving.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Key Stakeholders.
