- Develop and implement strategic plans for the efficient and effective management of financial resources at Drexel University
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish budgetary goals and objectives and monitor progress towards achieving them
- Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
- Manage and allocate financial resources across various departments, prioritizing critical needs and identifying areas for cost savings
- Foster a culture of financial responsibility and accountability across all departments and provide guidance and training as needed
- Serve as a liaison between departments, promoting open communication and collaboration to ensure financial goals are met
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in higher education financial management and make recommendations for improvement as necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, such as vendors, to negotiate favorable contracts and pricing
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and challenges that may impact the institution, proactively addressing them with appropriate solutions
- Lead and manage a team of financial and administrative staff, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Financial Leadership Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Budgeting And Financial Management Principles, With The Ability To Develop And Monitor Budgets, Financial Forecasts, And Financial Reports.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Financial Information To Diverse Stakeholders.
Experience In Overseeing Administrative Functions, Including Human Resources, Facilities Management, And Procurement.
