  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the efficient and effective management of financial resources at Drexel University
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish budgetary goals and objectives and monitor progress towards achieving them
  • Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Manage and allocate financial resources across various departments, prioritizing critical needs and identifying areas for cost savings
  • Foster a culture of financial responsibility and accountability across all departments and provide guidance and training as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, promoting open communication and collaboration to ensure financial goals are met
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in higher education financial management and make recommendations for improvement as necessary
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, such as vendors, to negotiate favorable contracts and pricing
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks and challenges that may impact the institution, proactively addressing them with appropriate solutions
  • Lead and manage a team of financial and administrative staff, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Financial Leadership Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Budgeting And Financial Management Principles, With The Ability To Develop And Monitor Budgets, Financial Forecasts, And Financial Reports.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Financial Information To Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Overseeing Administrative Functions, Including Human Resources, Facilities Management, And Procurement.
