- Oversee the financial operations of the athletics department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support the growth and success of the athletics program.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments within the university to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between the athletics department and external partners, including sponsors, vendors, and donors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Communicate financial information and updates to the athletics department staff and university leadership.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and innovate the business operations of the athletics department.
- Represent the athletics department in meetings, conferences, and other events related to financial operations.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of finance and administrative staff to support the department's financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA and conference regulations related to financial operations.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate financial processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Adhere to and promote the university's mission, values, and code of conduct.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Athletic Administration, Preferably In A Business Operations Role.
Strong Financial Management Skills, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Financial Analysis.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, As Well As Experience Working With Compliance And Eligibility Requirements.
