Job Description

Are you an experienced accountant looking for the opportunity to lead a team and make a real impact? Drexel University is looking for an Assistant Director - General Accounting to join our team and take our accounting operations to the next level.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team. The successful Assistant Director must be able to consistently meet deadlines and maintain accurate records, while also providing excellent customer service.The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, monitoring and managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and providing guidance to other members of the accounting team.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 5+ years of accounting experience in a public or private organization• CPA certification preferred, but not required• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Self-motivated and able to work independentlyIf you are a motivated, detail-oriented accountant ready to take on a new challenge, we would love to hear from you!
