Job Description

As the leader of our product technical program management team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and delivery of our innovative products.   1. Lead the product technical program management team and provide guidance and direction in achieving the company's mission and goals.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the timely and successful delivery of innovative products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product management, to drive the development and delivery of products.
  4. Manage and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  5. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  6. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  7. Work closely with product managers to define product requirements and technical specifications.
  8. Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  9. Hire, train, and mentor team members, providing ongoing support and development opportunities.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in program management and product development.
  11. Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and drive quality.
  12. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  13. Represent the company and its values to external stakeholders, such as partners and clients.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
  15. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Extensive Technical Expertise: A Senior Technical Program Manager At Doordash Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Software Engineering And Product Development Processes. They Should Also Have Experience In Managing Complex Technical Projects And Driving Cross-Functional Teams Towards Successful Delivery.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Senior Role, The Technical Program Manager Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Managing Teams. This Includes Setting Clear Goals, Providing Guidance And Mentorship, And Fostering A Collaborative And Inclusive Work Environment.

  • Product Mindset: To Effectively Manage Technical Programs, The Senior Tpm Should Have A Strong Product Mindset And Be Able To Align Technical Decisions With Business Objectives. They Should Understand The Product Vision And Be Able To Drive The Team Towards Achieving It.

  • Project Management Expertise: A Senior Tpm Should Have A Strong Background In Project Management Methodologies And Tools. They Should Be Able To Create And Manage Project Plans, Track Progress, Identify Risks And Issues, And Proactively Address Them To Keep Projects On Track.

  • Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Senior Tpm Will Be Responsible For Communicating Updates, Progress, And Challenges To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Leadership. They Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills And Be Able To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships With Stakeholders At All Levels.
