- Manage and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish product goals, prioritize features, and define project timelines.
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform product decisions and ensure a customer-centric approach to design.
- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design solutions and gather feedback.
- Drive the user experience and visual design of the product, ensuring consistency and alignment with DoorDash's brand and design standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product messaging and positioning that effectively communicates the product's value to customers.
- Monitor and analyze product metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and drive product enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and design trends, and proactively identify new opportunities to enhance the product and differentiate it from competitors.
Experience In Product Design Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience Working In Product Design Management, With A Focus On Consumer Savings Products. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing A Team Of Designers To Deliver High-Quality And Innovative Products.
Strong Understanding Of Consumer Savings Products: The Senior Product Design Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Consumer Savings Landscape And Be Familiar With The Latest Industry Trends And Best Practices. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Launching Successful Consumer Savings Products.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Leader, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Vision And Ideas To Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Also Have Experience In Managing And Mentoring Designers To Help Them Grow And Reach Their Full Potential.
