Program Manager, Engineering Training & Events

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs and events that support the growth and development of our engineering team. - Develop and implement training programs that align with the needs and goals of the engineering team.
- Plan and execute large-scale events, such as conferences and workshops, to support the growth and development of engineering talent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering leaders and HR, to identify training and development needs and create a comprehensive training plan.
- Design and deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences for engineers at all levels.
- Continuously evaluate and improve training programs and events based on feedback and data.
- Manage the logistics and budget for all training programs and events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations during training programs and events.
- Oversee the coordination and scheduling of training sessions and events, including securing venues, arranging travel and accommodations, and managing invitations and RSVPs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers and event vendors.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and provide guidance and support to other departments on training and development initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in engineering training and event planning to incorporate into our programs.
- Represent DoorDash at external events and conferences to promote our training and development initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Program Manager In Engineering Training & Events At Doordash Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Engineering Or A Related Field To Understand The Technical Aspects Of The Job And Effectively Manage Training Programs And Events For Engineers.
Previous Experience In Program Management: Doordash Would Prefer A Candidate With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Particularly In The Engineering Or Technology Industry. This Experience Should Demonstrate Leadership Skills, Project Management Abilities, And The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Stakeholders.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Program Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Communicating With Various Teams, Stakeholders, And External Partners. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Manage Training Programs And Events.
Experience In Organizing And Managing Events: Doordash May Prefer A Candidate With Experience In Organizing And Managing Events, Particularly In The Engineering Or Technology Industry. This Experience Should Include Event Planning, Budgeting, Vendor Management, And On-Site Coordination.
Knowledge Of Training And Development Best Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Training And Development Best Practices, Including Instructional Design, Adult Learning Theory, And Evaluation Methods. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Designing And Implementing Effective Training Programs For Engineers At Doordash.
