
Electrical Engineer, Labs
If you have a passion for seeing robotics solutions being practically applied with tight integration into a service used by millions of people, we want to talk to you! We're looking for a hands-on technologist to help build our newest team. You will report into Hardware Lead on our Hardware team in our DoorDash Labs organization. Work with a multidisciplinary team to build autonomous vehicle systems. Design and integrate small electric vehicle battery and power systems using off the shelf modules and internally designed circuits. Design power control and battery management systems for small electric drivetrains and motion control systems. Work with different vendors to fabricate assemblies and components, eventually through manufacturing.
5+ years of experience in small electric vehicle power system design and implementation
Experience with battery systems and battery management systems
Experience with brushless motor selection and controls
Experience with DFM and manufacturing ramp
Experience with a variety of communication protocols (CAN, RS485, Ethernet, etc)
Familiarity with RF and EMI mitigation
C++
Arduino
