- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of DoorDash's platform and customers' data.
- Lead and manage a team of security professionals to monitor, detect, and respond to potential security threats.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential areas of weakness and implement necessary controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure systems and processes.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and regulations to ensure DoorDash's security practices are up to date.
- Conduct periodic security training for employees to increase awareness and promote a security-conscious culture.
- Oversee incident response and investigations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external security partners and vendors.
- Monitor and analyze security metrics to measure the effectiveness of security operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the security posture of DoorDash's platform.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Extensive Experience In Security Operations: A Director Of Security Operations At Doordash Must Have A Strong Background In Managing Security Operations, Preferably In A High-Growth, Technology-Driven Company. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Processes, Protocols, And Systems.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: This Role Requires Leading A Team Of Security Professionals, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing And Mentoring Security Teams. They Should Also Possess Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Knowledge Of Security Frameworks And Best Practices: Doordash Values A Proactive Approach To Security, And The Director Of Security Operations Should Be Well-Versed In Industry Standards And Best Practices For Protecting Corporate And Customer Data. Familiarity With Security Frameworks Such As Iso 27001 And Nist Is A Plus.
Technical Expertise: The Director Of Security Operations Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Technologies, Including Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, Firewalls, Encryption, And Vulnerability Management Tools.
