- Lead and mentor a team of designers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of design projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to understand business needs and translate them into innovative design solutions.
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design, and apply them to our verticals to maintain a competitive edge.
- Drive the development and maintenance of design standards and guidelines for consistency across all verticals.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design team.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the impact of design initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage design budgets and resources effectively to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Extensive Experience In Design: The Director, New Verticals Design Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Product Design, User Experience, And User Interface Design. They Should Have A Strong Portfolio That Showcases Their Ability To Create Intuitive And Visually Appealing Designs.
Strategic Thinking: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Setting The Design Vision And Strategy For Doordash's New Verticals. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Executing Successful Design Strategies That Align With Business Objectives.
Leadership Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead A Team Of Designers And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
