  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive competition and litigation strategy for the company.
  2. Oversee all competition and litigation matters, including managing outside counsel and internal legal team members.
  3. Monitor and analyze industry trends and developments related to competition and litigation to ensure the company remains compliant and proactive.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as business development, sales, and marketing, to identify potential competition and litigation risks and provide guidance on risk mitigation.
  5. Advise senior leadership on legal implications of business decisions and provide recommendations for minimizing risk.
  6. Conduct thorough research and analysis on applicable laws and regulations related to competition and litigation to ensure compliance.
  7. Prepare and review legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and motions, related to competition and litigation matters.
  8. Represent the company in court and other legal proceedings related to competition and litigation matters.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry peers, to stay abreast of changes in the competitive landscape.
  10. Train and educate company employees on competition law and litigation risks and best practices to promote a culture of compliance.
  11. Manage and prioritize a high volume of competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes and procedures related to competition and litigation matters.
  13. Monitor and manage the company's budget for outside counsel and other expenses related to competition and litigation matters.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and developments in competition and litigation to ensure the company remains at the forefront of legal compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Competition Law And Litigation: A Director Of Competition & Litigation At Doordash Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Competition Law And Litigation, With At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In This Field.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate With Exceptional Analytical Skills To Identify Potential Legal Issues And Develop Strategic Solutions. The Director Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Legal Documents And Provide Comprehensive Recommendations To The Company.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Director Of Competition & Litigation, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including External Counsel, Regulatory Agencies, And Internal Teams. Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential To Effectively Advocate For Doordash's Interests And Resolve Legal Disputes.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Legal Professionals. They Should Be Able To Mentor And Develop Team Members, Manage Workloads, And Foster A Collaborative And Supportive Work Environment.

  • Knowledge Of The Technology Industry: Doordash Operates In The Highly Competitive And Fast-Paced Technology Industry. A Director Of Competition & Litigation Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Industry And Its Regulatory Landscape, Including Antitrust Laws And Regulations. Knowledge Of The Food Delivery Industry Is Also A Plus.
