
Merchandise Assistant Manager

- Oversee and manage the merchandising operations of the store in collaboration with the store manager.
- Ensure that merchandise is properly displayed, priced, and restocked according to company standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for customers.
- Train and supervise merchandise team members to ensure they are following merchandising guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate with the store manager and other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient merchandising strategy.
- Conduct regular store walks to identify any merchandising issues and develop solutions to improve the overall appearance and organization of the store.
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement merchandising plans that align with sales goals and company initiatives.
- Utilize data and sales reports to make informed decisions about merchandise placement and inventory management.
- Assist in the set up and execution of promotional and seasonal displays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom and merchandise storage areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any merchandise-related inquiries or concerns.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and streamline merchandising processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors' merchandising strategies.
- Other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Retail Experience: A Merchandise Assistant Manager Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Management Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Solid Understanding Of Store Operations, Inventory Management, And Customer Service.
Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Train And Motivate A Team, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Provide Constructive Feedback. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Resolve Conflicts.
Merchandising Knowledge: A Merchandise Assistant Manager Should Have A Good Understanding Of Merchandising Principles, Including Product Placement, Inventory Management, And Visual Merchandising. This Knowledge Will Help Them Create Visually Appealing Displays And Ensure That The Store Is Properly Stocked And Organized.
Organizational Skills: This Role Requires Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Inventory, Schedule Staff, And Oversee Daily Operations. The Candidate Should Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively To Ensure The Store Runs Smoothly.
