In this role, you will play a crucial part in the success of our store by assisting the Merchandise Manager in all aspects of merchandise operations.   1. Assist the Merchandise Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store's merchandise department.
  2. Ensure that all merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, and priced according to company standards.
  3. Help with the development and implementation of merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet store goals.
  4. Train and supervise merchandise team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  5. Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager to analyze sales data and make informed decisions on product assortment and placement.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, including merchandise displays and backroom storage areas.
  7. Assist in receiving and processing merchandise shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely restocking.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the Merchandise Manager to place orders for replenishment.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor strategies to make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Assist in conducting performance evaluations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  13. Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve overall store success and customer satisfaction.
  14. Uphold company values and promote a positive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • Retail Management Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Position, Preferably Within The Discount Or Dollar Store Industry.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Team Members, And Upper Management. Must Be Able To Clearly Convey Instructions, Policies, And Procedures.

  • Merchandising Knowledge: Understanding Of Merchandising Principles And Experience With Inventory Management, Product Placement, And Visual Merchandising Techniques.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team To Achieve Sales Goals And Maintain A Positive Work Environment. Must Be Able To Delegate Tasks, Provide Feedback, And Handle Conflicts Effectively.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent Time-Management And Multitasking Abilities, With A Strong Attention To Detail. Must Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Maintain Accurate Records, Including Inventory Counts And Sales Reports.
