Job Description

Join our team at Dollar Tree as a Merchandise Assistant Manager! In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and lead a team in ensuring our store has the best merchandise available for our customers.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the merchandise department, including receiving, stocking, and displaying products.
  2. Train, supervise, and motivate team members to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement strategies for maximizing sales and profitability.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for ordering and restocking merchandise.
  5. Ensure that all merchandise is accurately priced and labeled according to company standards.
  6. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with merchandise.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, backroom, and storage areas to create a positive shopping experience for customers.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and vendors regarding merchandise updates, promotions, and special orders.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competition to make informed decisions about product selection and pricing.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  11. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new merchandise team members.
  12. Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to merchandise in a professional and timely manner.
  13. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure overall store success and customer satisfaction.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures in merchandise operations.
  15. Uphold the company's values and represent the brand positively at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: A Merchandise Assistant Manager At Dollar Tree Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Similar Position. This Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of The Industry And The Ability To Effectively Manage Merchandise.
