Sr. Accessibility Engineer

Dollar Rent A Car is seeking a motivated and experienced Sr. Accessibility Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for accessibility, and must have a deep understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing accessibility strategies to ensure our products and services are accessible to everyone.The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in accessibility engineering, with a proven ability to deliver accessible products. To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; at least 5 years of experience in accessibility engineering, with a focus on web accessibility; experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1; and experience with accessibility tools such as aXe.We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team and help us create a more accessible world. 1. Develop and execute strategies to ensure that our products and services are accessible to all users.
2. Analyze and test existing products and services to ensure they meet accessibility standards.
3. Develop and implement accessibility policies and procedures.
4. Research and stay up-to-date on accessibility guidelines and standards.
5. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of accessibility strategies.
6. Train and educate employees on accessibility issues and practices.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accessibility requirements are met.
8. Act as a primary point of contact for accessibility-related inquiries and issues.
9. Work with vendors to ensure that third-party products and services meet accessibility standards.
10. Provide feedback and recommendations to product teams to improve accessibility of products and services.
