Shipping Manager

Manage the day to day operations of the day and night shipping operations for both Yuma AZ and Marina CA in an effort to meet budgeted cost per case. Manage picking operations and ensure staffing needs are being met in order to meet department performance metrics. Ensure that the produce is handled, cooled and age rotated properly. Set up and run a major cooler operation without direct supervision. Develop a work schedule to maximize employee use and responsibility; work with managers, floor supervisors and foreman in scheduling of hourly employees. Follow all Food Safety Requirements and cGMPs as applicable to position. Travel between all Vegetable Coolers to include seasonal relocation. Responsible for employee coaching, counseling, and resolving performance issues with non-exempt and exempt personnel.
