Production Scheduler

The Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and planning production and shipping of value- added products on a timely basis in order to satisfy customer delivery demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Coordinate customer service, transportation and manufacturing schedule. Meet sales forecast. Inventory distribution, finished inventory and manufacturing cost. Liaison with company departments regarding changes, adjustments and Special Orders. Develop product allocations between the regional and source plant, ensuring that customers receive products with adequate shelf life. Coordinate with marketing, materials management to handle revised or new formulations (packing, materials, etc.) to ensure proper stop/start dates and monitor inventory to avoid costs of write-offs. Responsible for reports to management covering areas of responsibility. Follow all food safety requirements and GMP’s as applicable for this position.
