Reporting to the Chief Social Impact Officer, the Senior Principal Social Impact will have the opportunity to lead a talented team focused on delivering measurable, meaningful, and sustainable impacts for Discover’s customers, employees, and communities.This role requires a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced leader with a deep understanding of the corporate social impact landscape, a passion for social change, and a commitment to making a difference. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the principles of social impact and the ability to translate them into strategic initiatives, as well as a track record of successful partnerships with stakeholders. Responsibilities:

1. Lead a talented team focused on delivering measurable, meaningful, and sustainable impacts for Discover’s customers, employees, and communities.
2. Develop and execute a strategic plan for social impact that is aligned with Discover’s mission and values.
3. Develop and foster relationships with external stakeholders in order to identify opportunities to drive positive social and environmental change.
4. Establish metrics to measure the success of social impact initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends and best practices in corporate social impact.
6. Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Monitor and report on progress of social impact initiatives.
8. Prepare and present reports and presentations to leadership.
9. Facilitate cross-team collaboration and manage team dynamics.
10. Mentor and coach team members to ensure their success.
