- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Regulation W and other relevant banking regulations
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Stay updated on changes and updates to Regulation W and other relevant regulations, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes and initiatives
- Lead and oversee internal and external compliance audits and examinations
- Communicate with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries and requests for information
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators to senior management
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to mitigate compliance risks
- Mentor and coach junior compliance professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development
- Proactively identify potential compliance issues and recommend solutions to prevent and mitigate risks.
Extensive Knowledge Of Regulation W: A Senior Principal Regulation W Compliance Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Complex Regulations And Requirements Outlined In Regulation W, Which Governs Lending Transactions Between Banks And Their Affiliates.
Compliance Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have 10+ Years Of Experience In Compliance, With A Focus On Regulation W, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry.
Leadership Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead A Team And Provide Guidance And Support To Junior Compliance Professionals. Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate And Communicate Effectively, Are Essential For Success In This Position.
