- Develop and implement strategies and policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to human resources.
- Lead a team of HR regulatory operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and resources to effectively execute compliance initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop action plans to address any issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that HR policies and procedures are in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on changes in laws and regulations and communicate updates and potential impact to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies and act as the primary point of contact for all HR compliance inquiries.
- Develop and deliver training programs on HR compliance for employees and managers.
- Manage the company's internal control systems to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and business leaders on compliance matters and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance efforts and make recommendations for improvements.

Extensive Knowledge Of Human Resources Regulations And Compliance Requirements: A Senior Manager In Hr Regulatory Operations At Discover Financial Services Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of All Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Human Resources, Including But Not Limited To Employment Laws, Anti-Discrimination Laws, And Labor Laws.
Proven Experience In Managing Regulatory Audits And Investigations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing Regulatory Audits And Investigations, Demonstrating Their Ability To Navigate Complex Compliance Issues And Resolve Them Effectively.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Excellent Leadership Skills To Oversee A Team And Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of Employees. This Includes The Ability To Train And Mentor Team Members While Also Communicating With Senior Leadership And Stakeholders.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Manager In Hr Regulatory Operations Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Potential Compliance Issues, And Develop Effective Solutions To Mitigate And Prevent Future Problems.
