
Senior Associate Vulnerability Analyst ( Cyber Assessment )
As a Senior Associate Vulnerability Analyst (Cyber Assessment) at Discover Financial Services, you will use your expertise to identify and assess cyber security risks and vulnerabilities to protect Discover’s most valuable assets. You will be an integral member of the Cyber Security team, proactively and reactively analyzing information security threats and risks to assess and manage potential exposures. The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge and the ability to understand and articulate the risks associated with cyber security threats. You should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Architecture, and/or Security Operations. In addition, you should have an in-depth understanding of the current cyber security threat landscape and familiarity working with security tools such as Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Management Tools, and Security Information Event Management Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess cyber security risks and vulnerabilities to protect Discover’s assets.
- Proactively and reactively analyze information security threats and risks to assess and manage potential exposures.
- Develop and maintain risk management processes and procedures.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest cyber security threats and trends.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
- Monitor security tools such as Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Management Tools, and Security Information Event Management Systems.
- Provide guidance and best practices for cyber security and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Investigate incidents of security breaches and recommend countermeasures.
- Monitor and report on cyber security metrics.
