  1. Lead and manage a team of collections specialists on the PM shifts to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections processes and improve overall performance.
  3. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in collections efforts.
  4. Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and facilitate their professional growth.
  5. Use strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals and targets.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and risk management, to ensure a cohesive approach to collections.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards and ensure team adherence.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and upper management to provide regular updates on collections performance.
  9. Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance collections processes.
  11. Monitor and report on key performance indicators and provide recommendations for improvement.
  12. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, diversity, and respect.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to anticipate and proactively respond to changes in the market.
  14. Take ownership of projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the collections department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Collections Or Related Field: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Collections Or A Related Field, With At Least 3 Years Of Experience. This Will Ensure They Have A Thorough Understanding Of Collections Processes And Procedures.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Collections Specialist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Collections Agents. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Guide And Motivate The Team To Meet Performance Goals.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Team Members And Customers Is Crucial In This Role. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Effectively Handle Difficult Situations And Resolve Customer Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements: Discover Financial Services Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Lead Collections Specialist Must Have A Strong Understanding Of All Relevant Regulations And Compliance Requirements. This Includes Knowledge Of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (Fdcpa), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Cfpb) Regulations, And Other Federal And State Laws.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Identify Trends And Patterns In Customer Behavior, As Well As The Ability To Develop Solutions To Address Complex Customer Situations. They Should Also Be Able To Use Data And Metrics To Drive Performance And Improve Overall Collections Results.
