- Lead and manage a team of collections specialists to achieve company's collections goals.
- Train and mentor team members to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and review team's performance metrics and provide feedback and coaching to improve results.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections processes and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and finance, to resolve customer issues and improve collections efforts.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations related to collections.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex or sensitive customer accounts.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in collections to continuously improve processes and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and successful outcomes.
- Handle high-value or high-risk customer accounts and negotiate payment arrangements as needed.
- Prepare and present reports on team's performance and collections activities to upper management.
- Identify and address any potential issues or roadblocks to achieving collections goals.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for team members.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new collections specialists.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Collections, Preferably In A Leadership Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Collection Laws And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Experience With Collections Software.
