UX Researcher Intern

We are looking for a passionate UX Researcher Intern to join our team at Discord. In this role, you will be responsible for uncovering user insights to inform product strategy and inform product design. You should have an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods to help inform the product design process.This is an incredible opportunity to join a small, innovative team and grow your research and product design skills. This is a full-time, paid internship.We’re looking for someone who has:- A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research- Outstanding communication and presentation skills- An understanding of user experience and product design- An eye for detail and a passion for uncovering user insightsWe’re excited to hear from you if you think you’re the perfect fit for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to inform product design and strategy.
2. Analyze user feedback to inform product decisions.
3. Develop research plans, execute user tests, synthesize findings, and communicate insights to the team.
4. Develop detailed user personas and user journeys.
5. Create user flow diagrams to better understand user interactions.
6. Track user feedback and trends to inform product decisions.
7. Maintain an understanding of user experience and product design best practices.
8. Present research findings and insights in a clear and concise manner.
9. Stay up to date on industry trends and user research methodologies.
10. Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure user needs are met.
