- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging threats in the online space.
- Engage with external partners and law enforcement agencies to address potential threats.
- Utilize threat intelligence tools and techniques to identify and track potential threats.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive threat database.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for responding to threats.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on threat activity and mitigation efforts.
- Conduct training and education sessions for internal teams and external partners on online safety.
- Participate in cross-functional team projects related to online safety and security.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to child safety and data protection.

Knowledge Of Online Safety And Child Protection: A Threat Operations Specialist At Discord Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Online Safety Practices And Child Protection Laws. This Includes Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations Such As The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (Coppa) And The Children's Internet Protection Act (Cipa).
Experience In Threat Detection And Mitigation: Candidates Should Have Experience In Threat Detection And Mitigation, Particularly In Identifying Potential Risks And Responding To Safety Incidents On Online Platforms. This May Include Experience In Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Or Law Enforcement.
