Job Description

Are you a passionate leader with a strong knowledge of retail equipment? Do you have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Retail Equipment Services Lead at Dick's Sporting Goods. As the lead of our equipment services team, you will be responsible for ensuring our retail equipment is maintained and functioning at the highest level for our customers.   1. Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all retail equipment within the store.
  2. Lead a team of equipment services associates to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  3. Establish and maintain a high standard of customer service by addressing and resolving any equipment-related issues.
  4. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all retail equipment in order to effectively troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.
  5. Monitor and track equipment inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary equipment is available and in proper working condition.
  6. Collaborate with store management to identify and implement improvements to the equipment services process.
  7. Train and develop team members on proper equipment maintenance procedures and protocols.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  9. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to maintain inventory levels and order necessary parts or replacements.
  10. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  11. Stay up-to-date on new equipment and technologies, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
  12. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  13. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to equipment maintenance and safety.
  14. Handle any escalations or customer complaints related to equipment services in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized equipment services area.
  16. Collaborate with other store departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  17. Participate in store meetings and provide updates on equipment services processes, issues, and improvements.
  18. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, serving as a role model for the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Retail Equipment Services Or A Related Field Is Required For This Role. This Experience Should Include Hands-On Experience With Equipment Repairs And Maintenance As Well As Leadership Experience.

  • Technical Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Types Of Retail Equipment, Including But Not Limited To, Sporting Goods, Fitness Equipment, And Outdoor Gear. They Should Also Be Proficient In Troubleshooting And Diagnosing Equipment Issues.

  • Team Management Skills: As A Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Technicians, So Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills Are A Must. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Training, And Foster A Positive And Productive Work Environment.

  • Customer Service Skills: Retail Equipment Services Leads Are The Main Point Of Contact For Customers Who Bring In Their Equipment For Repairs Or Maintenance. Therefore, Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential In Order To Provide A Positive And Satisfactory Experience For Customers.

  • Attention To Detail: In The Retail Equipment Services Industry, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That Equipment Is Properly Repaired And Maintained. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Processes And Procedures Accurately.
