Welcome to Dick’s Sporting Goods! We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Retail Cashier to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about sports and have a strong understanding of customer service. If you possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving any inquiries or concerns.
  3. Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
  5. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  6. Promote and upsell store products and services to customers.
  7. Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming sales, promotions, and events.
  8. Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  10. Handle customer returns and exchanges with professionalism and efficiency.
  11. Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  12. Remain knowledgeable about sports and outdoor equipment to assist customers with product inquiries.
  13. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  15. Attend all required training and meetings.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous Cash Handling Experience: A Successful Candidate For A Retail Cashier Position At Dick’s Sporting Goods Should Have Previous Experience Handling Cash And Performing Cash Register Transactions. This Includes Accurately Counting Money, Processing Returns And Exchanges, And Reconciling Cash Drawers.
