As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring efficient and accurate transactions at the register.   1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently at the register.
  3. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions and provide accurate change.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  5. Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance with locating products.
  6. Ensure all merchandise is correctly priced and scanned.
  7. Promote company's loyalty programs and current promotions to customers.
  8. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  10. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and stay informed about new promotions.
  11. Maintain a positive attitude and provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
  12. Handle customer complaints and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  13. Adhere to cash handling and cash register policies and procedures.
  14. Assist in stocking and organizing merchandise on the sales floor.
  15. Attend and participate in training and meetings as required by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Prior Experience In Retail Or Customer Service: A Qualified Retail Cashier At Dick’s Sporting Goods Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Customer-Facing Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of Customer Service And The Ability To Handle Cash Transactions Accurately And Efficiently.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Cashier, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Colleagues. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Customers And Provide A Positive Shopping Experience.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Working At A Busy Retail Store Like Dick’s Sporting Goods Can Be Fast-Paced And Demanding.
