
Retail Bike Technician

- Assemble and maintain customer bikes according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Perform quality checks on all assembled bikes to ensure they are safe and ready for use
- Diagnose and repair any issues with customer bikes, including but not limited to brakes, gears, and tires
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with questions and concerns regarding their bikes
- Educate customers on proper bike maintenance and care to prolong the life of their bikes
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and advancements in bike technology
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bike assembly and repair station
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory needs and customer feedback
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while assembling and repairing bikes
- Continuously strive to improve and expand technical skills and knowledge related to bike assembly and repair.
Knowledge Of Bike Mechanics: A Retail Bike Technician At Dick's Sporting Goods Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Bike Mechanics And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Various Bike Issues.
Customer Service Skills: This Role Requires Strong Customer Service Skills To Assist Customers With Their Bike Purchases And Provide Them With Expert Advice On Maintenance And Repair.
Bike Assembly Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Assembling And Disassembling Different Types Of Bikes, Including Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, And Hybrid Bikes.
Attention To Detail: As A Retail Bike Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That Bikes Are Properly Assembled And Repaired According To Manufacturer Specifications.
