- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and expertise in bike maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct bike fittings and provide recommendations for the perfect bike based on the customer's needs.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bikes as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with new bike technology and trends in the cycling industry.
- Educate customers on proper bike care and maintenance.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of bike parts and accessories.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace and sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer experiences.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures when working with bikes and equipment.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Dick's Sporting Goods by embodying the company's values and promoting a positive image.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

Knowledge Of Bicycle Mechanics: A Retail Bike Technician At Dick’s Sporting Goods Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Bike Mechanics, Including How To Assemble, Repair, And Maintain Various Types Of Bikes.
Customer Service Skills: As A Retail Bike Technician, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Having Excellent Customer Service Skills, Such As Being Friendly, Helpful, And Patient, Is Essential For This Role.
Attention To Detail: Bike Technicians Need To Be Detail-Oriented In Order To Properly Diagnose And Fix Any Issues With The Bikes. This Includes Checking And Adjusting Components Such As Brakes, Gears, And Tires.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Dick’s Sporting Goods Is A Busy Retail Environment, Especially During Peak Seasons. As A Bike Technician, You Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment While Still Maintaining A High Level Of Quality In Your Work.
Physical Stamina: This Job Requires Physical Stamina As You Will Be Standing, Walking, And Bending For Long Periods Of Time. You May Also Need To Lift And Move Heavy Bikes And Equipment. Therefore, Having Good Physical Fitness And Stamina Is Important For This Role.
