  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on bikes, ensuring they are in top working condition for customers.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections of bikes to identify any potential issues or areas of improvement.
  3. Assist customers in finding the right bike and accessories for their needs, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns regarding biking equipment and services.
  5. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in biking technology to better assist customers.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment used for bike repairs.
  7. Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to meet sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  10. Continuously develop and improve skills through training and education opportunities.
  11. Keep inventory of bike parts and supplies, ordering and restocking as needed.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with bikes or equipment.
  13. Provide guidance and assistance to new or inexperienced bike technicians.
  14. Proactively seek out ways to improve and streamline bike maintenance processes.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience And Knowledge In Bike Repair And Maintenance Techniques: A Qualified Retail Bike Technician At Dick’s Sporting Goods Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Bike Mechanics And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair A Variety Of Bike Issues.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Retail Bike Technician, One Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Customers And Provide Excellent Service. This Includes Listening To Customer Concerns, Explaining Repair Options, And Ensuring Customer Satisfaction.

  • Familiarity With Bike Brands And Models: A Good Understanding Of Various Bike Brands And Models Is Important In Order To Accurately Diagnose And Repair Different Types Of Bikes. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Parts And Components Specific To Different Bikes.

  • Attention To Detail: A Retail Bike Technician Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Repairs Are Completed Accurately And Efficiently. This Includes Checking For Any Potential Safety Hazards And Ensuring All Components Are Properly Installed.

  • Time Management And Organizational Skills: In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment, A Retail Bike Technician Must Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks To Meet Customer Needs. This Also Includes Keeping Track Of Inventory And Maintaining A Clean And Organized Workspace.
