As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a vital role in the success of our store by assisting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and driving sales.   1. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the store.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
  3. Ensure that all customers receive a positive shopping experience and address any customer concerns or complaints.
  4. Help drive sales by monitoring and analyzing store performance and implementing strategies to increase profitability.
  5. Train and develop new and existing employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide excellent customer service.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including merchandise displays and inventory management.
  7. Assist in creating and implementing sales and promotional events to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  8. Communicate effectively with the Store Manager and other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  10. Provide input and feedback to the Store Manager regarding employee performance, customer needs, and any other relevant issues.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to better assist customers and drive sales.
  12. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Management Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Or Management Role Within A Retail Environment. This Experience Should Demonstrate Strong Leadership Skills, The Ability To Manage A Team, And A Track Record Of Achieving Sales Goals.

  • Knowledge Of Sporting Goods And Outdoor Equipment: As An Assistant Store Manager At Dick’s Sporting Goods, It Is Important To Have A Strong Understanding Of The Products And Brands Sold In The Store. Candidates Should Have A Passion For Sports And Outdoor Activities, And Be Able To Assist Customers With Product Selection And Recommendations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Assistant Store Manager Will Be Responsible For Training And Developing Staff, Communicating With Customers And Corporate Management, And Coordinating With Other Departments Within The Store. Candidates Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Relationships With Both Customers And Employees.

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Manage Their Time And The Time Of Their Team To Ensure Tasks Are Completed Efficiently.

  • Proven Track Record Of Driving Sales: As An Assistant Store Manager, It Is Important To Have A Strong Sales Orientation And Be Able To Motivate And Coach Employees To Achieve Sales Targets. Candidates Should Have Experience In Creating And Executing Sales Strategies, Analyzing Sales Data, And Implementing Plans To Increase Sales And Profitability.
