  1. Safely and efficiently move and handle materials within the warehouse, using proper equipment and techniques.
  2. Receive, sort, and store incoming materials according to company standards and procedures.
  3. Prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  4. Maintain inventory levels and track stock movements, reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.
  5. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials as needed.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  7. Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
  8. Keep work area clean and organized, following 5S principles.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  11. Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by management.
  12. Train and mentor new team members as needed.
  13. Follow company policies and procedures, including quality control standards.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  15. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers.
  16. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  17. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
  18. Flexibility to work in different areas of the warehouse as needed.
  19. Must be detail-oriented and able to identify and report any damaged materials.
  20. Adhere to all company and industry regulations and guidelines.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management And Warehouse Operations: A Material Handler At Dhl Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Warehouse Processes, Such As Receiving, Storing, And Shipping Goods, As Well As Experience With Inventory Management Systems.

  • Physical Stamina And Strength: This Job Requires The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, Sometimes Up To 50 Pounds, On A Regular Basis. A Material Handler Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In The Warehouse Environment, As Any Mistakes Can Cause Delays Or Errors In The Shipping Process. Material Handlers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That The Correct Items Are Being Picked, Packed, And Shipped.

  • Forklift Operation Experience: Many Material Handlers At Dhl Are Required To Operate Forklifts And Other Heavy Machinery. Having Previous Experience And Certification In Forklift Operation Is Often A Preferred Qualification For This Job.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: Material Handlers At Dhl Often Work As Part Of A Team, So The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively Is Essential.
