  1. Teach undergraduate level mathematics courses to students enrolled at DeVry University.
  2. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lectures, incorporating real-world examples and current industry trends.
  3. Develop course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, that align with the university's curriculum and learning objectives.
  4. Provide guidance and support to students through regular office hours and communication outside of class.
  5. Evaluate student performance and provide timely and constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth.
  6. Stay current with advancements in the field of mathematics and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into teaching.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve the quality of instruction and student learning experience.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and events to contribute to the overall academic community.
  9. Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals, and provide resources for their success.
  10. Adhere to university policies and procedures, including academic integrity and diversity and inclusion.
  11. Continuously assess and improve teaching methods to enhance student engagement and success.
  12. Maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  13. Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and expertise.
  14. Represent the university in a professional manner and promote its mission and values.
  15. Collaborate with industry partners and participate in research and scholarly activities to advance the field of mathematics.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree In Mathematics: A Visiting Professor At Devry University Must Hold A Graduate Degree In Mathematics Or A Closely Related Field. This Could Include A Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Or Statistics.

  • Teaching Experience: Applicants Should Have Prior Experience Teaching At The College Level, Preferably In A Similar Field Of Study. This Includes Experience With Curriculum Development, Lesson Planning, And Delivering Lectures.

  • Industry Experience: While Not Required, Having Real-World Experience In A Math-Related Field Can Be Beneficial. Experience Working In Areas Such As Finance, Engineering, Or Data Analysis Can Give A Visiting Professor A Unique Perspective To Share With Students.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For A Visiting Professor At Devry University. They Must Be Able To Effectively Convey Complex Mathematical Concepts To Students With Varying Levels Of Understanding.
