- Conduct thorough and accurate legal analysis of documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including other legal team members, business departments, and external counsel, to provide legal advice and support on a variety of matters.
- Review and negotiate legal documentation, including contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, to protect the bank's interests and minimize risks.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to provide informed legal advice and recommendations.
- Advise on legal risks and implications of business decisions and propose solutions to mitigate potential risks.
- Draft and review legal documents and correspondence, including legal opinions, memoranda, and correspondence with external parties.
- Manage and maintain legal documentation databases and systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Participate in contract negotiations and provide legal guidance to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the bank.
- Assist with the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs and memos as needed.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior legal team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as compliance and risk management, to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
- Represent the bank in legal proceedings, as needed.
- Communicate and liaise with external parties, including regulators and external counsel, on legal matters.
- Continuously monitor and assess legal and regulatory developments, and provide recommendations for adapting existing practices and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and other legal matters as assigned by management.
- Adhere to ethical standards and uphold the bank's code of conduct.
J.d. Degree: A Senior Legal Counsel/Lawyer - Legal Documentation At Deutsche Bank Should Possess A Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8 Years Of Relevant Experience In Legal Documentation, Preferably In A Large Financial Institution Or Law Firm.
Strong Knowledge Of Financial And Banking Laws: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Financial And Banking Laws, Regulations, And Industry Practices, Particularly Those Related To Commercial And Investment Banking.
Excellent Drafting And Negotiating Skills: The Role Requires The Ability To Draft And Negotiate Complex Legal Documents, Such As Loan Agreements, Isda Agreements, And Other Financial Contracts.
Experience In Managing Legal Risks: The Senior Legal Counsel/Lawyer Should Have Experience In Providing Legal Advice And Managing Legal Risks Associated With Banking And Financial Transactions, Including Cross-Border Transactions.
