  1. Provide legal guidance and support to the Repo Sales & Trading business at Deutsche Bank.
  2. Collaborate with traders, salespeople, and other legal professionals to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  3. Mitigate legal risks associated with Repo transactions through thorough analysis and advice.
  4. Stay up-to-date on changes in securities and finance laws and regulations to provide proactive legal support to the business.
  5. Review and negotiate legal documents related to Repo transactions, including master repurchase agreements and related documentation.
  6. Advise on complex legal matters related to the Repo market, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  7. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as traders and salespeople, to provide timely and accurate legal advice.
  8. Represent the bank in negotiations and discussions with clients and external parties regarding Repo transactions.
  9. Conduct legal research and analysis to support the Repo business and provide recommendations for improvement.
  10. Mentor and supervise junior legal team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and external legal counsel.
  12. Ensure that all legal processes and procedures are followed in accordance with internal and external guidelines.
  13. Work collaboratively with other departments, such as Compliance and Risk, to ensure a cohesive approach to legal and regulatory matters.
  14. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current on legal and market trends.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures within the legal department and the Repo business.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Securities Attorney At A Top Law Firm Or Financial Institution.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal Securities Laws And Regulations, Particularly In The Area Of Repurchase Agreements.

  • Proven Track Record Of Negotiating And Executing Complex Repo Transactions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Both Legal And Business Teams.
