  1. Research and stay up-to-date on sanctions regulations in the Americas region, including any changes or updates.
  2. Provide expert advice and guidance on sanctions regulations to various business units within the bank.
  3. Conduct thorough reviews and risk assessments of business activities to identify potential sanctions risks and violations.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal and compliance teams, to develop and implement policies and procedures for sanctions compliance.
  5. Monitor and investigate any potential sanctions violations or suspicious activity, and escalate as necessary.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sanctions regulations and their implications for the bank.
  7. Stay informed on industry best practices and trends related to sanctions compliance.
  8. Analyze and interpret sanctions lists and their applicability to the bank's operations.
  9. Communicate with regulatory bodies and respond to any inquiries or requests related to sanctions compliance.
  10. Participate in the development and enhancement of sanctions screening systems and processes.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of sanctions compliance efforts.
  12. Collaborate with global anti-financial crime teams to align on best practices and ensure consistency in approach.
  13. Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of sanctions compliance activities and reports.
  15. Proactively identify potential risks and escalate to senior management as necessary.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Anti-Financial Crime And Sanctions Compliance Within The Financial Industry.
