
Mainframe Assembler Programmer
As a Mainframe Assembler Programmer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. Document and communicate complex technical topics within and outside the immediate development team. Engage in research, development, configuration, testing, and debugging of new systems software, and/or major systems’ improvements. Prepare written software specifications for sophisticated products from architectural diagrams and documents. Build and review design, functional, technical and/or user documentation, as needed. Develop, review and implement test strategies for software products and systems.
Experience includes a solid knowledge of 5-10 years with various mainframe platforms, and developing Mainframe assembly code.
Experience in software development using IBM Assembler/Metal C on the mainframe (zOS or zVSE) platform
Experience using JCL to execute batch processes in zOS
