Buyer Specialist

This role is responsible for the procurement of packaging items such as corrugate, glass and plastic packaging (bottles, film closures). The annual spend under management is $35M. Primary responsibilities include participating in all aspects of the sourcing process, preparing budgets and other financial analysis, and managing high visibility cross-functional projects from inception through execution. Lead the sourcing process, including strategy, analysis, RFP development, negotiations, and contract review for corrugate, glass and plastic packaging. Participate in cross-functional projects ensuring Procurement is well represented. Act as primary liaison between cross-functional partners, plants and suppliers and work to resolve supply, quality, and cost issues. Create and manage purchase orders, new item loads, invoice discrepancies, and forecasts. Ensure all suppliers have consistent forecast visibility and adequate capacity.
