Job Description

DaVita Kidney Care is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Wage and Hour Investigator in our People Services department.   1. Conduct thorough investigations into potential violations of federal and state wage and hour laws.
  2. Analyze payroll data and employee records to identify discrepancies and potential compliance issues.
  3. Collaborate with HR and other departments to obtain necessary information and documentation for investigations.
  4. Communicate with employees, managers, and legal counsel to gather and verify information.
  5. Compile and maintain accurate records of all investigations and their outcomes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on changes to wage and hour laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  7. Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on wage and hour laws and best practices.
  8. Identify and recommend solutions to address any wage and hour compliance issues.
  9. Assist with conducting audits and reviews of payroll and employee records.
  10. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to wage and hour investigations.
  11. Collaborate with external agencies, such as the Department of Labor, as needed.
  12. Uphold the company's commitment to fairness and inclusivity in all aspects of employee treatment.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Prepare reports and presentations on wage and hour compliance for senior management.
  15. Participate in team meetings and provide updates on ongoing investigations and compliance efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Wage And Hour Compliance Or Related Field

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Labor Laws, Including The Fair Labor Standards Act (Flsa) And State-Specific Wage And Hour Regulations

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Complex Data Related To Payroll And Employee Compensation

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Conduct Investigations And Communicate Findings To Various Stakeholders, Including Employees, Managers, And Legal Counsel.
