  1. Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential privacy vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to mitigate these risks.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for all privacy-related inquiries, concerns, and incidents.
  4. Oversee the maintenance and updating of patient privacy records and documentation.
  5. Provide ongoing training and education to staff on privacy policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy considerations are integrated into all processes and systems.
  7. Conduct audits and monitor compliance with privacy policies and procedures.
  8. Stay current with changes in privacy laws and regulations and adapt policies and procedures accordingly.
  9. Handle any privacy breaches or incidents and ensure appropriate reporting and resolution.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure compliance with privacy requirements.
  11. Communicate with patients and their families regarding privacy practices and rights.
  12. Lead privacy-related projects and initiatives to continuously improve privacy practices within the organization.
  13. Prepare and present reports on privacy compliance and incidents to senior leadership.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on privacy issues and provide guidance to staff and leadership as needed.
  15. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Privacy Laws And Regulations: A Senior Manager, Privacy At Davita Kidney Care Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Privacy Laws And Regulations At Both The Federal And State Levels, Such As Hipaa, Gdpr, And Ccpa.

  • Experience In Privacy Compliance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Privacy Compliance, Specifically In The Healthcare Industry. This Includes Developing And Implementing Privacy Policies And Procedures, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Managing Privacy Incidents.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Manager, Privacy, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Collaborating With Various Departments Within The Organization. Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential In This Role.

  • Ability To Conduct Privacy Audits: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Conducting Privacy Audits To Ensure Compliance With Privacy Laws And Regulations. They Should Also Be Able To Identify And Address Any Potential Privacy Risks And Develop Mitigation Strategies.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry: A Deep Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry, Specifically In The Field Of Kidney Care, Is Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With The Unique Privacy Concerns And Challenges In This Industry And Be Able To Develop Tailored Solutions.
