  1. Oversee and manage the risk adjustment program for DaVita Kidney Care, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  2. Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize risk adjustment scores.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement strategies for improving risk adjustment processes.
  4. Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the risk adjustment team, including setting performance goals and providing ongoing training and support.
  5. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy and completeness of risk adjustment data.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert on risk adjustment, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support risk adjustment efforts.
  8. Monitor and analyze risk adjustment data to identify patterns and trends, and make recommendations for adjustments to processes.
  9. Communicate with providers and other healthcare professionals to educate them on risk adjustment requirements and facilitate accurate documentation and coding.
  10. Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  11. Participate in meetings and committees to represent the risk adjustment program and provide input on organizational initiatives.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve risk adjustment processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the risk adjustment team.
  14. Support the overall mission and values of DaVita Kidney Care through your work in risk adjustment.
  15. Act as a mentor and leader for other members of the healthcare team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Medical Director, Risk Adjustment At Davita Kidney Care Should Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Medical Knowledge And Expertise To Oversee Risk Adjustment Processes.

  • Board Certification In A Relevant Specialty: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In A Relevant Specialty Such As Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Or Nephrology. This Demonstrates Their Proficiency In Their Field And Ensures They Have A Strong Foundation In Clinical Care.

  • Experience In Risk Adjustment And Coding: The Medical Director Should Have Previous Experience In Risk Adjustment And Coding, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Manage And Improve Risk Adjustment Processes And Ensure Compliance With Coding Guidelines.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Medical Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Medical Professionals. Therefore, They Should Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate Their Team.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Cms Guidelines And Regulations: The Medical Director Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Cms Guidelines And Regulations Related To Risk Adjustment. This Includes Knowledge Of Hcc Coding, Medicare Advantage Plans, And Other Relevant Policies. This Will Ensure Compliance With Regulatory Requirements And Drive Continuous Improvement In Risk Adjustment Processes.
