1. Develop and implement strategies for managing insurance plans during the Retiree Open Enrollment Period, ensuring seamless and efficient processes for patients and their families.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Insurance Management team, providing guidance and support to team members in handling complex insurance issues.
3. Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and finance, to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and payments.
4. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance regulations, and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures to remain in compliance.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with insurance providers, negotiating contracts and rates to maximize benefits for patients.
6. Work closely with the Human Resources department to educate employees on insurance plans and assist with any questions or concerns during the open enrollment period.
7. Analyze data and generate reports to track the success of insurance management strategies and identify areas for improvement.
