- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and state-specific requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the organization remains in compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals to promote a culture of ethical and compliant behavior within the organization.
- Investigate and respond to compliance-related concerns and incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and appropriate follow-up actions.
- Conduct regular compliance training for employees at all levels to promote understanding and awareness of compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of compliance activities and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies and serve as the main point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement compliance goals and objectives that align with the organization's overall strategic plan.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and develop action plans to address any identified areas of non-compliance.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters and provide guidance to other departments as needed.
- Ensure all compliance reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Uphold and promote the organization's values and ethical standards in all compliance-related activities.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance, Risk Management, Or A Related Field Within The Healthcare Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Healthcare Regulations, Including Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Compliance Information To Employees At All Levels.
Prior Experience In Managing And Leading A Team, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Compliance Programs And Initiatives.
